THE BEST QUICK AND EASY THANKSGIVING CHECKLIST

Thanksgiving is right around the corner so you know what that means! It’s time to start planning for family dinners and parties with friends! However, I know how stressful it can be to be the one planning and in charge. Lucky for you, you’re at the right place! I have created a quick and easy Thanksgiving checklist to help simplify your planning.

# 1. Finalize your guest list and plan your menu. Decide if you will host family, friends, or both.

First things first – who’s coming? This is important so you will know how much food there will need to be, how many plates and how much silverware, and how many chairs you will need to have so everyone can have a seat and enjoy their meal and fellowship.

# 2. Plan your menu. Will you cook the menu, cater, or have guests bring their favorite dish?

Now for the fun part, the food! When planning your menu you need to think about if you’re going to start with appetizers and if so what kind. A few quick and easy ones that come to mind are deviled eggs, spinach dip, or a salad.

Next, is the main course! My favorite! Do you want to have the traditional Thanksgiving food or switch it up with something unique? A few of my favorite dishes are turkey and ham, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, and of course stuffing.

Last is dessert! No Thanksgiving is complete without dessert. Remember, the best things in life are sweet! A crowd fave at my house is the pumpkin pie, but there’s also pecan pie, homemade ice cream, and chocolate pie. The list goes on and on!

# 3. Decide on your decor. Plan out centerpieces, flowers, and place settings.

Last but not least, it’s time to spice up your home, especially the dining room! Start with fall-friendly decor, such as rich colors and warm autumn tones. Some beautiful table decor could be fresh flowers, a cornucopia, mini pumpkins, full-size pumpkins, a fall-inspired table runner, and so much more. You could even try using some beautiful fall leaves found right in your own backyard! Pine cones are a wonderful addition as well and are plentiful this time of year.
